Healthcare websites
Clear public information.
Careful data boundaries.
HIPAA-aware build practices for healthcare websites, with an explicit separation between marketing content and patient information.
The standard website scope
Service pages, practitioner information, accessibility, performance, and basic business inquiries. Standard forms collect contact details for a business conversation, not patient information, symptoms, diagnoses, or medical records.
When patient information is involved
PHI workflows require a separately assessed architecture, appropriate contracts and BAAs, eligible vendors and hosting, access controls, and operational procedures. An ordinary public form is not a patient portal.
Shared responsibilities
The client remains responsible for its risk assessment and compliance program. The implementer remains responsible for the agreed technical work and any applicable obligations. Read the compliance scope before planning a patient-facing integration.
